I learned a lot about the Burmese culture & how timber elephants were used and integrated in village life. It had action & adventure, I enjoyed this book This was considered a YA book, but it had words that were definitely a higher level and was over pgs/5.   Culture-wise, I hate the pervasive myth that all Burmese women are downtrodden and need liberating. Yes, there are obviously issues, but we’re less patriarchal than many countries in .

Burmese: a medium-sized, shorthaired breed of cats. Originally it was always a solid brown color with golden yellow eyes. There are now numerous variations in color, including champagne, blue and platinum. The breed is affected by primary endocardial fibroelastosis, meningoencephalocele and lethal midfacial malformations. Travelers who visit Myanmar are sure to be immediately struck by the richness of the country’s culture. The culture of Myanmar can be both seen– thanks to the plethora of beautiful pagodas and stupas, spirits and Buddha images, woven designs and clothing, architecture, and gardens – as well as felt through every interaction with these friendly, kind, and dignified people. The Burmese culture is very different to the western interpretation of lifeand politesse. Have a read below about different aspects and facets of life in Burma. It's fascinating, gentle and very spiritually alive.

Modern Burmese Literature. the inspired interpreter of Burmese culture, has paid him: so many of our students read the books which came out to us from Victor Gollancz's Left Book Club in. Myanmar - Myanmar - Languages: Many indigenous languages—as distinct from mere dialects—are spoken in Myanmar. The official language is Burmese, spoken by the people of the plains and, as a second language, by most people of the hills. During the colonial period, English became the official language, but Burmese continued as the primary language in all other settings.   A diverse range of indigenous cultures exist in Burma, the majority culture are primarily Buddhist and Bamar. Bamar culture has been influenced by the cultures of neighboring countries. Burmese, the mother tongue of the Burma, is related to Tibetan and to the Chinese languages. The Burmese Independence day is celebrated on January : Victoria Rossetti.
